Never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake.
Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.

BELLA RESCUE
My Name is Cynthia Krotzer and my wonderful family has been providing refuge and finding homes for abandoned, abused and forgotten animals in Washington, California, and Minnesota for about seven years now. We started Bella Rescue this past summer of 2010 to help do something about the horrific situation San Antonio has with homeless cats and dogs. We were inspired to take our small in-home family rescue one step further by "Bella" an extremely ill, abused stray puppy who has taught us so much about love, blind kindness and the will to survive.. We take in the animals nobody wants to help, or if they do want to help they cant or are scared to! We provide them with warmth, food, love, compassion, much needed medical care and refuge.
Bella Rescue is a private family operated rescue that is dedicated to the welfare of unwanted, abandoned, neglected and homeless animals.
We are not 501c3 and we are not connected to any established, listed organization or group. Our family operates completly on a private basis. We provide medical care, shelter, stability, love and compassion, for homeless cats and dogs until they are adopted into a loving home. My goals is to educate, control over-population through spaying and neutering, and provide rescue for animals in need. Our main focus is with those who are in need of immediate medical care and have special need circumstances.
Our family covers all housing costs, over the counter medications, vaccinations including rabies, preventative cares, deworming, spay and neutering, transportation to hospitals and vet clinics, dog food, dog treats, bowls, leashes, collars, blankets, training tools, grooming, kennels, creates, dog houses, and all other animal care expenses to give an idea of a few of our typical cost to house and care for our rescues.
We do however, rely on donations to cover the large overwhelming costs of the initial veterinary exams as well as the major long term treatments set in place by our doctor.
We can't stress enough how grateful we are when we're able to pull the funds together with donations from other caring, compassionate animal lovers and provide them with the medical care they need. With out them we could not continue pulling animals off the street and giving them an opportunity to live a happy, healthy life like everyone deserves.
Because we are a private in-home rescue our cats and dogs have an opportunity to enjoy home life as we are able to assess their individual personalties, behaviors, and needs helping us place them with great forever families. They are able to get accommodated with the house rules, and their role in the family. All our rescues have been socialized with children of all ages, other rescued cats and dogs , and have been introduced to a variety of situations including playtime at the dog park among other dogs, walks in busy down town areas with lots of activity, one on one bonding time, camping and fishing trips, etc. We believe strongly, that the introduction of new situations not only helps to build trust , security, and confidence, but it also helps them to adjust in to their new homes with better ease.
